2019美国本土最高峰惠特尼峰爬山召集



去年11月3日的C2C挑战,我们说过是为今年的惠特尼峰预热。现在,我们就开始正式的尝试!惠特尼峰,Mountain Whitney。美国本土最高峰,海拔14505英尺,约4421米,正好大约世界最高峰珠穆朗玛峰的一半高度。

攀登惠特尼峰在5月1日-11月1日之间需要许可,今年的申请时间是2/22-3/15,3月24日出结果。申请费$10,许可费$15/人,均不可退。每天单日进出的限额是100人,隔夜(露营)的是60人。

典型徒步路线是从Whitney Portal出发,攻顶单程大约11迈,来回22迈。海拔提升大约7000英尺,大约2100米。一般耗时18-20个小时。主要问题:高反。所有参与者风险自担,与其他任何团体或个人没有任何关系。

一般认为比较适合攻顶的月份是7-9月,今年我们选8月3日(星期六)为主日期,还可以再选其他15个候选日期(比如7月20、27日,8月10、17、24、31日和9月7日等)。没有年龄限制,一个申请可以允许最多15人同时参加。如果任何人获得许可,参与申请的所有人优先获得参与资格,其次是爬山群其他成员。本活动将主要由队长Dan带领大家进行训练。届时可以考虑先行到达露营适应高反组和提前一日到达组。
